I am writing in response to your undergraduate internship advertisement on November 22, 2016 for Information Services. My academic knowledge in Computer Science, along with my experiences in Database Management and Computer system services at Virginia Military Institute qualify me for this position. As i have worked with small companies in the past, It would be a dream of mine to work for a large scale company like Altria, especially in the IT field.
In a previous internship with the IT Company Oracle, I was responsible for various aspects of customer service, including teaching the trainees, correcting computer software, working with team members to decode encryptions, and presenting solutions of various problems to the CEO. Working alongside team members as enhanced my communication skills and broaden my knowledge in the IT field.
In addition to this experience I gained considerable communication skills during my time as a team co-captain of the track team and ROTC at VMI. I also bring strong computer proficiencies in Microsoft Office and CRM database applications. I used Microsoft Office in my communications class to design a Mars manual which discussed surviving on Mars. I’ve also used it to design an energy saving plan for RACC Conservation toolkit, which discussed ways of saving energy in your home.
