In general, I think I did much better on project 2 than I did on project 1. On project 1, I struggled to grasp the concept of deriving a thesis from the question we had to answer through the rhetorical lens. Even when I finally figured out my thesis and found evidence, I still provided far too little detail and explanation. On project 2, I had much less trouble deriving a thesis, I found discourse communities to be a much easier concept to grasp, and I provided much more detail and explanation. I also had  much more time to go through project 2 and polish smaller blemishes than I did on project 1. The biggest contributor to my improvement was reading the critique from Maj. Garriott and then following up for further explanation about her critique.
