The perception that others have received through the mean and the score that I reached for them is quite consistent with what I was thinking of. The strengths that I had that surprised me were the “Get on the Balcony” and the “Regulate Distress”. I know that The ability to remove myself from the situation and become someone that can support me than rather become someone who is always involved can allow my team members to grow without always having to rely on me. The other score that really surprised me was the regulate distress, I know that I can destress situations very well by making everyone happy, but the ability to do it to the degree and score that I got makes me certain that moving forward the stress of team members is something that I do quite well at. In regards to the other 3 types, I know that I am a little more average when it comes to those and that making sure that I keep my members focused and on task is going to be a valuable lesson in building strong relationships. I also do a somewhat well job of making sure that my members that are not feeling included are being incorporated into every decision. The last bit which is to regulate the work to the members of my group is valid and appropriate being that I want everyone to have a fair amount of work, it is my job to ensure no one is breaking their back to make the team succeed and others are sitting out doing nothing. I would personally like to change in my leadership the way that I “give the work back to the people”. I really want to make sure that I am giving those members that are ready to work and ready to bring me as the leader quality work. I know that being self-aware means that I will have to cut those off that do not come prepared to work, but that is okay, making sure that the goal is completed is important and any people that are not wanting it can be sent away to do a more manageable project.
